AVO Demo 2005 Portal
The portal for the 2005 AVO Demo can be accessed at http://vo.eso.org:8080/astrogrid-portal
To obtain a user account you can use the portal registration page, or use the links on the login page.
Important Features of this deployment
- It uses the 0.8 release of the Astrogrid Components.
- The deployment is on a read-only filesystem, so some of the management functions associated with the individual components will not work with this public interface. Details of the deployment are available here (local ESO access only)
- It is 'self contained' in that all the components are configured to use a registry also in the deployment which itself only contains resource entries for the deployment.
- While some effort has been made to secure the machine on which this system is installed, the data storage areas should not be used to store the only copy of important or sensitive data in case of system failures caused by malicious or accidental means.
