Regarding the AVO demo stellar case AGB to PNe transition, we propose a
list of 171 new PNe candidates, 85 having a tentative classification in
the GLMP catalogue. The selection has been made according to the
following steps:
1.- Select MSX6 well detected sources (quality flag >=1) in A, C and D bands
2.- Filter out those sources complying A-C>=0.7 or C-D>=0.7
3.- Cross-match with IRAS PSC sources
4.- Filter out those sources well-detected at 60 microns (quality flag >=2)
5.- Filter out those sources complying (Flux at 60 microns/Flux at 100
microns)>=0.6 when quality flag >=2 at 100 microns.
6.- Query Simbad to classify filtered sources into 6 main groups: AGB,
Extragalactics, PAGB, PNe, YSO and IR (infra-red sources)
Please find attached the plot with the A-C vs. D-[60] diagram of known sources where known
sources from different evolutionary groups are clearly separated. Here you can find
the meaning of the symbols appearing in the plot:
{1}Filled blue circles: AGB
{2}Green crosses: Extragalactic sources
{3} Filled purple squares: PAGB
{4} Filled yellow triangles: PNe
{5} Open light blue circles: YSO
