Example searches done using AVOcandidates_not_in_GLMP
A few candidates are in Acker PNe catalogue ("possible (P)PNe") or Avedisova (Star-forming regions, could be coincidence along line of sight owing to large search regions in some cases). A number have radio continuum detections (e.g. NVSS); the radio spectral index (e.g. from Vollmer) could also be used to identify young PNe which are likely to have thermal spectra with a high frequency turnover (v. older objects, extragalactic etc. with low-freq turnovers, flat or non-thermal spectra).
A number have potential maser counterparts which could be examined to see if they are consistent with PPNe molecular outflows (NB a low outflow velocity does not rule this out as it might simply be a high velocity outflow in the plane of the sky, but a high (50-200 km/s?) velocity is very indicative of post-AGB-PNe stages.)
