Plot Axes
x axis properties
- mouse tracker

- bandpass: full width halve maximum (FWHM)

- error bar for uncertainty in flux measurement
Global Plot Attributes
- line grid (on/off)
- legend (on/off)
Dialog Buttons
- reset button: zooms back to level where all points are visible
- clear button: deletes plot and removes all data points from memory
- close button: quit plot dialog
Plot Canvas
- zooming in: drag a rectangle across the plot area of interest
- zooming out: press reset button

Anatomy of SED Point
Table of SEDs
Each row corresponds to the SED for a given object in one catalog.
SEDs of the same object in different catalogs are handled separately.
- show checkbox: plot SED for given object (on/off)
- mark checkbox:
- label individual data points (on/off)
- highlights (blinks) corresponding object in Aladin image canvas
- object label: catalog ID
- line color button: open color dialog to select color of lines that connect individual SED points
- line style: select
- marker color: open dialog to select color of marker symbol
- marker shape: select shape of the marker
- list button: dump SED points of given object into text window
Color Chooser
There are three ways to define a color:
- By mouse: Select position in color panel and move slider to set 3rd coordinate in color cube.
- RGB color model: Enter values for Red, Green and Blue in the range 0 to 255.
- HLS color model: Enter values for Hue [0-359 deg], Lightness [%] and Saturation [%].
Menu bar
- Insert VOTable ... add SEDs to current plot
- Open VOTable ... load VOTable xml file replacing current plot
Status
Displays the status of the SED program.
Input Data
SED reads UCD tagged tabular data in VOTable format. See sedsample.xml for a sample VOTable.
Known Issues
- resizing of main window is not supported
- when logarithmic scale is selected mouse tracker values are sometimes slightly off
- behavior is undefined if VOTable input values for a single SED point are partially missing
- input needs to be in flux density; magnitude to flux conversion is not supported
- status information is sparse
