We will organise a meal for the evening of 11 Dec 2008 at a local restaurant. More details to follow.
Accommodation and Visitor Information
- Please book your hotel rooms directly. Hotels in the centre of Strasbourg will be convenient as the Observatory is within walking distance
(20 min) and can be accessed via tram (Tram Stop 'Observatoire').
The above link has some nearby hotels listed (although the price info is probably out of date). The Strasbourg Tourist office has useful travel links including accomodation booking http://www.otstrasbourg.fr/?lang=en
- Note that December is Christmas Markets time in Strasbourg - so book your travel and accomodation early!
Travel and Expenses
- The EURO-VO Project will cover all SAC expenses, including air/train fare, accommodation, meals, taxis, etc. This will be done by ESO, upon presentation of all relevant receipts and up to a maximum of 900 Euros (including air/train fare, which will be covered directly by ESO).
- Please contact Nina Felber (nfelber@eso.org, +49-89-3200-6692) ASAP and in any case by NOVEMBER 3, to arrange for your travel. Between October 8 and 17 please contact Britt Sjoeberg (bsjoeber@eso.org, +49-89-3200-6291), as Nina will not be at ESO during that period.
