EuroVO-DCA Workshop 2008

ESO is the intergovernmental European Organisation for Astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere. On behalf of its thirteen member states ESO operates a suite of the world's most advanced ground-based astronomical telescopes located at the La Silla Paranal Observatory in the Atacama desert in Chile.
The workshop will be held at ESO headquarters in the research campus (Forschungszentrum) of Garching bei München, Germany. See travel information on ESO pages for details. The following map contains some important locations.
Workshop participants should handle their own hotel reservation.

ESO headquarters are located one subway station away from Garching, and Munich city centre is 30 minutes away by subway. The recommended way to travel from the airport to ESO is by taxi. See the detailed instructions on ESO pages.
Munich is quite agreeable this time of the year.
We will visit a local brewery in Aying, and see how bavarian beer is made!
