I've tested Anita's hdfn.ajs scripts, and have done some tests with ACE. Most things look to be ok, but I'll try to do some more rigorous testing of the actual values returned. So far, all the results from ACE have the right UCDs and column names which allows "closing the loop", i.e plotting the ACE results in the SED tool. This allows extraction and plotting in the SED of data over quite a wide wavelength range. It looks good. From an optical astronomers point of view it'll be even better if we can plot F-lambda too (Did that make it into the new SED ? :-) ) The only failure I've had is with some local NTT-SOFI files, where I've loaded them via an automatically generated tree. ACE tests: CDFS - ACS images : This works, care needs to be taken to put the correct zero-point in the ACE input (Generic mag mode) The values generally make sense when plotted alongside EIS catalog values CDFS - ISAAC: works CDFS - NTT (from a set of local files and automatically built tree): ACE bails out here. I'll try this again tomorrow, and possibly give you detailed error messages. It's a bit tricky for you to reproduce because it's done from a set of local files. CDFS - WFI: works CDFS - VLA images referred to in cdfs+vla_tree1.xml : this works (haven't tested results values properly yet) CDFS - ACIS: haven't tried yey HDFN - Merlin +VLA radio maps : This works in physical units mde, putting in the right values for freq and BW. HDFN - Chandra images: This works, i.e. it gives a result, with values around 10^-12 Jy. The actual results values should be checked at some point. cheers, Mark.
