How to demonstrate support for spectroscopy?

Should have a galactic as well as an extra-galactic scenario

PR - working on case about fusion of x-ray/optical/ir; GOODS field

AR/MA - remarks limitation to one field; Orion

FG/PP/AM - ISO spectra - T. Prusti; also LC is IR galactic Astronomer

AR - XMM catalog was used by Astrogrid as test catalog

MA suggests to collect data for a given object soon and go from there

MA idea: What about classification of unclassified objects by means of spectrum analysis?

Another telecon: Involve SWG splinter group heads and possibly have weekly or bi-weekly telecons with flexible participation thereafter

- No spectrum display capability in AVO prototype - therefore investigate Specview (Busko); Aus-VO is going to concentrate on visualization of spectra and data cubes, but not in time for our demo; David Barnes visits CDS in Jan 04

- Draft specification for Simple Spectrum Access (SSA) protocol due for interop meeting in Oct.
