As regards the stellar case, Pedro and others at ESAC are actively working on it. - some discussion about the need for column calculator feature and the "intermediate" steps of the demo - ESAC is looking into problem reported by AMSR to run VOSpec - discussion about VOSpec deferred to face-to-face meeting at ADASS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Annex 1 Pierre Fernique's explanations concerning Aladin V3. Dear Paolo, The Aladin V3 alpha test code can be download at : http://aladin.u-strasbg.fr/java/AladinV3alpha.jar There is still a lot of bugs into it. So I will prefer to avoid a large distribution of this intermediate code. Notice that it is not yet an AVO prototype as we have not yet re-incorporated specific AVO pluggins into it neither the AVO design (logo, copyright, ...). I need certainly 2 weeks to stabilize enough this new Aladin version. And 2 days more to incorporate again the AVO specific developements. But you can already work with it and I will update regularly the AladinV3alpha.jar file during this period. This agenda doesn't take into account the specific new AVO developements (MySpace browser...) One or two things about the current multiview interface implementation: - By default, Aladin starts in one view panel mode and the general behavior will be the same than the Aladin v2. You can change the multiview mode by clicking on one of the logos at the left of the zoom widget. - Each new image loading in Aladin will be displayed in the next free view panel. If there is no free panel, the last panel will be used by replacing the previous image (reproducing the Aladin V2 behavior) - you can set an image in a specific view panel just by dragging the stack image plane into it. - you can move an image from a view panel to another just by dragging it from the source panel to the target panel - you can copy an image panel into another view panel just by dragging the source panel into the target panel WITH the CTRL key pressed. - The current view panel is shown by a large blue border. The Aladin functions will concern this panel (Hist, Mglass, Del, Zoom). You can select the current view panel by clicking into it - The same image can be displayed in several view panel, eventually with various zoom factor. - Notice that the dragging mode described above doesn't work yet properly on linux. In this case, you should use the old method : select the current panel view (click into it) and select the image reference by clicking the small triangle before its logo in the stack. - the "Sync" new button constrains all panel views to be automatically centered on the current reference position (last clicked position with the magenta cross). Also, when the "Sync" button is pressed, the modification of zoom factor will concern all panel and not only the current view panel. - The implementation of the new "blink" function is not yet finished. It is already working but it re-uses the RGB frame to select the concerned images. You can add new images in a blink sequence just by dragging it into the blink panel. It is not yet necessary to send me a list of bugs for this intermediate version.
